What He Doesn't Say Speaks Louder Than What He Does Say

State Representative Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre County), in an op-ed piece in today's CDT, comes out in favor of a new Right-To-Know law. He writes, "Pennsylvania's open-records law is broken and it must be fixed. Too much of what government does is shielded by an outdated and backward law that hides more than it reveals." This is positive. What is troubling is that nowhere does he address whether or not Penn State, which sits in his backyard, should be covered. I'll continue to consider him a water carrier for Old Main until such time as he explicitly states that state-related universities should be covered by the Right-To-Know law.
