Surge-ery




As we prepare to listen to Junior's speech tonight in which he will announce the escalation of the war in Iraq, I recommend reading Fred Kaplan's article in Slate which explains why adding troops into Baghdad at this late date will likely not work. We should also consider the human cost of the Iraq war. This is dramatically illustrated by these graphs prepared by Ed Stephan an emeritus professor of sociology at Western Washington University.
